Powerless by Lauren Roberts - Must Read!

One of the best books that I’ve read lately is called “Powerless” by Lauren Roberts. It brings together the best parts of “The Hunger Games” and “The Red Queen” into one excellent book. It is in the Romantasy Genre.

The main characters are Kai and Payden who live in a fantasy kingdom called “Ilya”.

They are trapped in a two-tier society where Payden has to deceive to save her life and Kai has difficult responsibilities that endanger Payden and her kind.

There are two books in the series and they are fantastic so far and I’m so excited for the new book to be released in the spring.

There is quite a bit of violence and swearing but no inappropriate spice.

“I think that you dislike that you don’t dislike me.”

Favourite part of the book:

Dancing in the woods.

Time to read:

2 hours (this means that it was really good and I couldn’t put it down and ignored my chores)
